/etc/infrastructure/homelab.conf
I live and breathe infrastructure. Outside of enterprise environments, I test boundaries, simulate edge-case network topologies, and experiment with bare-metal configurations inside a dedicated home deployment.
Core Hardware Blueprint
1. Rack Enclosure & Base Systems
- Cabinet Tier: 42RU Industrial Enclosure (Fully structured patch configurations, custom power paths).
- Compute Footprint: HP ProLiant, Dell, and Cisco UCS high-density rack gear.
2. Bare-Metal Containers & Orchestration
- Cluster Pools: Cohesive 4-Node hybrid bare-metal cluster running production-tier orchestrations.
- Runtime Architectures: Dual setups exploring multi-tenant Kubernetes and Docker Swarm deployments to benchmark deployment speed and state persistence models under synthetic failures.
3. Compute-Intensive AI Cluster
- GPU Topology: Fully dedicated 4x GPU hardware platform customized for machine learning and artificial intelligence workflows.
- Models Hosted: Active local endpoints for PyTorch and Transformers pipelines, localized Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks, and optimized deepseek/Llama architectures.
